Friends of the Cabildo is proud to announce the 2018-2019 FOC Film Series highlighting New Orleans & Louisiana people, places, and culture. This six-part series will be held in the New Orleans Jazz Museum’s Performance Hall and will feature discussions after all 7 p.m. showings led by filmmaker Dr. Vivian Norris. The series will begin with Ella Brennan: Commanding the Table (August 22nd), followed by crime-drama The Big Easy (October 17th), Louisiana International Film Festival stand-out Forever Waves (December 12th), Piano Players Rarely Ever Play Together (January 16th), Big Charity: Death of America’s Oldest Hospital (March 20th), and will finish with 1970 Jazz Fest Films (April 25th).

Friends of the Cabildo is a private non-profit volunteer group that provides financial and volunteer support for the Louisiana State Museum, its projects and its property. Since incorporating in 1956, the Friends of the Cabildo has grown into a large statewide membership organization, a dynamic and motivating force in broadening and supporting the aims of the Louisiana State Museum.
