I had the great good fortune to win a trip to New Orleans in 1997. I was there for JazzFest and had the time of my life. I love to travel and have been to various places around the world but none can begin to compare to New Orleans. From the strolls through the French Quarter to the riverboat cruise on the Mighty Mississippi, from dining at the Court of Two Sisters to the cooking class at the New Orleans School of Cooking, from the Neville Brothers to Waylon Thibodeaux, New Orleans did something to me. . . for weeks after I returned home, I literally had an ache in my heart, wanting to be there again. I know what it means to miss New Orleans. And someday I will return, perhaps to never leave.
