We visited New Orleans for three days in June on our way to Miami. It is a beautiful city. We did a river boat cruise, visited the beautiful shops, (especially those beside the River), went on the city tour, visited an old plantation (the scene of the Battle of New Orleans), had some incredible meals, visited the flea market, enjoyed the side walk cafes Jazz bands. Of all the places we have visited in America, we would say New Orleans had the most "natural" interests to offer. We also found the people so warm and friendly and so "laid back" - Obviously, we would like to have had a bit longer there, as we are sure there is a lot we did not see, but we feel we did pretty well for just 3 days.
