Our New Orleans trip in December was great. Quarterhouse in the French Quarter had great accomodations and service. The free Park Service walking tour and their Visitor Center displays and audios were very informative. The streetcar, which is only $.40 for seniors, ride through the Garden District was enjoyable as was the Garden district walking tour of the area and a cemetery. So many great restaurants ... Since we were there during the holiday season we had the opportunity to see the concerts at St. Louis Cathederal and the beautiful light displays at City Park. We were in New Orleans for a week and still couldn't fit in all we wanted to do! We topped off our trip by visiting the River Road plantations and even stayed overnight at the Nottaway Plantation, which was an unforgettable experience. New Orleans is a don't miss!
