I am from New Orleans and my husband, son and I moved to TN in 1992. We go home every chance we get and every time I go back, all of our families are still there, it gets harder and harder to leave. New Orleans is truly a city of soul and it captures the soul of everyone that visits there. I love to walk through the French Quarter and have coffee and beignets. I have such wonderful childhood memories. I miss my family very much and maybe one day we will move back. We consider it quite often, but only God knows where he will lead us. My memories of drinking hot chocolate and eating beignets at Morning Call are so wonderful. As a child, we would all get in to the car and pick up my grandmother from work, about 11pm and us kids would be in our PJ's. But we would stop at Morning Call in New Orleans, at that time, they had curb side parking and the man would bring a metal tray out to the car and we would drink our hot chocolate, coffee for the adults and eat our beignets om the car. It was so much fun. Mardi Gras was wonderful too. We miss New Orleans and our family very much. Hope to move back some day soon.I wish anyone that gets to New Orleans, the best time of their lives.
