My best friend, a former resident of N.O. took me to New Orleans a few years ago, and did we do it up Nawlins style -- oyster po' boys at the College Inn, fried shrimp at home with Papa John ... hurricanes in the quarter and music at Tipitina's... Damn, was it divine! The magic of that city may be lost for a time, but the spirit will surely live on. I hope everyone will give what they can\; I'm donating all my ebay and Amazon sales to the relief effort, and organizing a garage sale on my block. All y'all out there need to send what you can, so we can say we gave BACK to that wonderful city.
