I lived in NOLA for six years during the 90's and loved every minute of it. I would make about 2 trips a year back to Roanoke, VA, where my family lives; going back, every time I crossed from Slidell on I-10, my heart became lighter and I felt I was coming HOME. You will live in my heart forever, dear City that Care Forgot. Your verve, your magnanimous spirit, your love of life, your exquisite food, your lovely old mansions and live oak trees, your seamy, dark side all became a part of me. I cry for you in your time of despair and offer help where I can. Anne
