I would like to tell everyone living in and around NO that you are in my thoughts and I wish all of you to get back to your normal lives again. However normal can be now. My first visit to your wonderful city was in the summer of 1990 and I was 22, I have been back several times since then.. I have brought my children, friends and family members... I love your city! But I was mostly affected Dec 28, 2005 when I came back for New Years. It was a ghost town and the city was working on bare minimum. Everyone I came in contact with were in great spirits, Thanks! My New Years was wonderful, and will never be forgotten. I drove to outer areas to get my own assessment and I cried and cried. I was in disbelief and still am to this day.. I will always remember that drive to Biloxi, Grand Isle and Kenner. It humbled me. I'm coming back in May with some friends who have never been and I am just as excited as that Summer of 1990.
