The year was 1986 I was in my early 20's and left to New Orleans from Florida just to experiment, for adventure and boy did I have a blast. I stayed for two months and now wish I had never left because of the memories. I encourage every young person if you're thinking of just getting away and have no commitments, to stay a while in New Orleans. You'll never forget the memories and you'll have a blast too. The jazz music and the food at the French Quarter were awesome. I would walk and walk for hours in New Orleans and could never get enough of the sites, and atmosphere of the place. The people were so friendly there. Many of times I took the trolley and saw the beautiful plantation homes, ate shrimp poboys all the time. Relaxed watching the Mississippi and the Natchez go bye. Shopped till I dropped at Jackson Square and had many drinks at Pat O'Brien's. While I was there I went to bartending school and became a bar maid. Please go!!!
