It was a beautiful night on the riverfront as several thousand of us celebrated Lundi Gras. Rex had arrived, the fireworks had gone off and the crowd was enjoying a fantastic concert by the night tripper "Dr. John." I was fortunate to be one of several hundred people to have found a spot on the rim of the fountain in the plaza. When Dr. John went into his Goodnite Irene number, the entire group on the fountain began a synchronized chorus-line kick to the music. Despite worrying that at any minute my shoe was going to sail off into space and I would have to hobble back to the hotel, it was a truly magic, once-in-a-lifetime moment I will remember forever. It can't get any better than that!
