A poem I wrote...after my 4 day visit to New Orleans with my second husband. This was back in 1984.We had the time of our lives!!! I Love New Orleans!!! "New Orleans: The Lady has Class" Historical perfection, in each and every section, The Razz-ma-Tazz, of Orlean's Jazz. Through the Creole she sings, with her food fit for Kings. Her shop's filled with flare, in her charm she is rare. On her canvas unfurls, many artists of the world. She's a place with a past, on Saint Charles style is cast. In her streets there is dance, her wrought iron from France. You will always move your feet, to the beat on Bourbon Street. Like a Street car named Desire, she will set you're soul on fire. And through each you'll come to know, why it is you love her so. When she puts on her exhibition, she secures her grand position. With her future, and her past, The Lady has Class.
