Fringe Fest Wednesday, November 19- Sunday, November 23

From frequent parades to drinks to go, in New Orleans we do things a little differently, and everyone marches to their own drummer. Billed as as "the festival of the wild, weird, fresh, and original,” Fringe Fest embraces our unique sense of quirkiness. These performances include comedy, drama, dance, musical theater, storytelling, and more. While the whole lineup is enjoyable, we recommend doing a little bit of research before attending because some shows will be more adult or kid friendly.

The festival includes 82 shows at more than 40 venues all over the city—mainly in the Bywater and Faubourg Marigny neighborhoods—just a short distance from the French Quarter! Most of the shows require tickets, but there are quite a few free events as well including after parties, Friday Nights of Fringe Party, Spoken Word, and Parade HotSpots.

Cirque du Solei: Varekai.Wednesday, November 19- Sunday, November 23

In this production, Cirque du Solei magic continues at the summit of a volcano found deep within a mystical forest where a young man is parachuted into a world filled with possibilities and fanatical creatures. See aerial Straps, clowns, juggling, and more! Children and adults of all ages will enjoy the escape into this magical world.

Get your tickets for the show, which runs November 19-23 at the Smoothie King Center, now.
