With so much to do this fall, you may need to plan for an extended stay! We know we’re ready. Here's a glimpse of some of the fun happening around town!

(October 2 - 4, 2015): Enjoy a 25-block party atmosphere full of music, dancing, food, and good old-fashion fun. It may be "small town" but don't be surprised by the wide range of variety at this festival. You'll be entertained by big names like The Beach Boys, Earth Wind & Fire, Kool & the Gang, as well as local favorites! Plus, you'll be able to sink your teeth into more than 150 delicious dishes.

Art for Arts Sake (October 3, 2015): Celebrate art appeciation in the Warehouse District as you stroll through the galleries exploring creations from famous local artists and hidden talents. Plus, this free festival will have cash bars set up along the streets.

Oktoberfest (October 9-10, 16-17, 23-24, 2015): The New Orleans area is known for its rich Cajun and Creole heritage, but we also have German roots! So come eat, drink, and be merry almost every weekend in October.

New Orleans Film Festival (October 15 - 22, 2015): Writers, producers, actors, directors, and cinema  lovers gather each year to engage in showings and discussions on everything from full-length films to music video trends.

Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival (October 16-18):  The tenth annual Crescent City Blues and BBQ Festival will be held in Lafayette Square Park. The event, hosted by the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation, is free to the public and features a fabulous food and variety of blues performers.

Boo at the Zoo (October 16, 17, 23, 24, 2015): Grab the kids and costumes because Boo at the Zoo is a can't miss family event where kids ages 12 and under can win prizes, trick-or-treat, and more.

Ghost in the Oaks (October 23 & 24, 2015): Join the spookatucalur fun at City Park's Carousel Gardens Amusement Park and Storyland.  Children of all ages, including the young at heart adults, dress in their Halloween best for unlimited rides, air-brush face painting, live music, arts & crafts, balloon animals, a pumpkin patch, and trick-or-treating!

Krewe of Boo (October 24, 2015): It's not a New Orleans holiday without a parade, and we have to say this is one of our favorites. Halloween themed floats roll down the streets of the French Quarter as riders in fun, crazy costumes throw candy, cups, beads, and more to parade goers. It's a family-friendly affair.

Bayou Bacchanal (November7): New Orleans has a variety of cultural influences—including Caribbean! The Bayou Bacchanal Festival is held in Louis Armstrong Park and features masqueraders dancing to the beat of drums and Caribbean cuisine!

Treme Gumbo Festival (November 14&15): This festival brings two New Orleans staples to the forefront: jazz and gumbo. Held in Louis Armstrong Park, the event is free to the public. During the festival, expect to hear traditional and contemporary jazz while chowing down on a variety of New Orleans style gumbos!

Oak Street Poboy Festival (November 22) Restaurants and food lovers make their way to Oak Street  where chefs will compete for the best poboy in various categories during this Uptown affair.  Live music will keep the crowds dancing.
