Filled with local food, art, music, and fun, the annual Freret Street Festival celebrates one of New Orleans’ most beloved stretches: Freret Street. The festival spans seven blocks along Freret from Valmont Street to Napoleon Avenue and will be filled with food and craft vendors, live musical performances, and children’s activities.
The 2022 Freret Street Fest takes place Saturday, March 26, and will once again have 3 stages, 20+ bands, over 200 local food and art vendors.
Freret Street Festival Vendors
Outside of the annual fest, Freret Street has positioned itself as a destination for delicious casual dining in the Crescent City. So it is only right that the festival welcomes many year-round eateries plus others to join participate as fest vendors.
In addition to Freret’s storefront restaurants offering exclusive festival deals and menu items, Freret Street Festival also welcomes the following outdoor food vendors:

Festgoers can also peruse the festival’s craft, clothing, and specialty items vendors such as Bayou Soap, Bywater Clothing, Small Change Finery, Nurhan Gokturk Studio, Nola Boards, Kabuki Hats, and more.
Freret Street Festival Music
The daylong festival features live music performances across three different stages. The lineup ranges from the sounds of rock, swamp pop, brass bands and other New Orleans sounds, as well as Mardi Gras Indians, dancers, second lines, and other performers.
Notable 2019 performers included Little Freddie King, Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, and Valerie Sassafrass among others. Stay tuned for the 2022 Freret Street Festival lineup.
Freret Street Festival Tickets
As always, the Freret Street Festival and all of its performances are activities are free and open to the public. Organizers ask that guests bring cash and card to patronize local businesses and vendors. No outside food or drinks are allowed.
Freret Street Festival Activities
In addition to live music and local vendors, the FSF kids area includes inflatables, a petting zoo, alligator meet and greets, arts and crafts, clowns, and stilt walkers.
