Sail 250 New Orleans

Sail 250 New Orleans is a once-in-a-generation maritime celebration that brings tall ships, naval vessels, and international crews from around the world to the banks of the Mississippi River as part of America’s 250th anniversary commemoration. As the inaugural host city for the nationwide Sail 250 celebration, New Orleans will welcome visitors to experience one of the largest gatherings of tall ships and military vessels ever assembled in the United States. 

Stretching along the historic downtown riverfront, the multi-day event combines maritime history, military traditions, cultural celebrations, and family-friendly entertainment with the unmistakable spirit of New Orleans. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore ships from multiple nations, meet sailors and service members, and experience special events taking place throughout the city.
