This coming weekend marks the return of the annual Voice of the Wetlands Festival in Houma, Louisiana. Get your fill of Louisiana blues and rock music at this free event on Oct. 8th, 9th, and 10th.
Featured musicians include the VOW All-Stars (including Cyril Neville, Anders Osborne, Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, Johnny Sansone, and Waylon Thibodeaux), Galactic, BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet, Louisiana LeRoux, Susan Cowsil, and Zebra.
The event goes from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
The festival's purpose is to educate people about the national value of Louisiana's wetlands.
