For decades, generations of New Orleanians had proudly called Sid Mars Restaurant in Bucktown one of their favorite neighborhood restaurants. What Hurricane Katrina didn't damage, the Corps of Engineers took the rest away…utilizing their land for the new pumps at the 17th Street Canal in the famed Bucktown area.

It's taken over 4 1/2 years…but we are so excited to learn that Sid Mars has re-opened it's great eatery in a new Metairie location…a few steps off Veterans Hwy on N. Turnbull (next to Chase Bank).

Same family…same great food…really wonderful atmosphere!
