There is still lots of cleanup to do in the Katrina-affected neighborhoods, and many houses are not yet ready to live in. However, we can see people working in all affected neighborhoods; many of the homes have been gutted and will be rebuilt. You can see signs on their property, such as "Coming Home to Lakeview," and it's interesting to see how trailers were decorated for Christmas and Mardi Gras.

Those that want to return are either rebuilding, living in trailors outside of their home while they do, or living and waiting somewhere else until they decide just what to do.

My niece, Stephanie lost her home. She was pregnant and the baby's room was almost ready.
