New Orleans Takes on the Dirty Boids on Monday Night Football

September 30, 2026 | New Orleans

The New Orleans Saints return to prime time when we host the Atlanta Falcons at Caesars Superdome for a Monday Night Football showdown. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. on October 5th

The 2026 matchup carries a special connection to New Orleans sports history. The game falls almost exactly 20 years after the Saints returned to the Superdome following Hurricane Katrina. On September 25, 2006, the Saints hosted the Falcons in the emotional reopening of the Superdome. New Orleans won that Monday night game 23-3, creating one of the most memorable moments in the franchise’s history.

Twenty years later, the same division rivals will meet again under the Superdome lights.

The Saints and Falcons have one of the NFL’s longest-running rivalries, and their games have become an annual highlight for fans throughout the Gulf South. This year’s matchup is the first of two meetings between the teams during the 2026 regular season, with the Saints scheduled to travel to Atlanta in January.

Whether you’re a lifelong Saints fan or simply looking for an unforgettable way to experience New Orleans, Monday Night Football offers a uniquely local experience.
