NEW FROM GRAY LINE IN 2023!
Now Happening on Dec. 23 Due to Weather

The lighting of the bonfires on the banks of the Mississippi River to guide Papa Noel’s sleigh is a time-honored Christmas tradition in Louisiana – one you can now experience on a Bonfire Adventure Tour with Gray Line New Orleans.

The festive tour includes round-trip narrated motor coach transportation to Destrehan Plantation (with Christmas cookies, eggnog and bottled water), followed by a plantation tour and a traditional holiday turkey dinner with all the fixings. Next, you’ll pay a visit to the Gramercy, Louisian, where you’ll see huge wooden structures built by this Cajun community set aglow. In the past, bonfires have been built in the shapes of Cajun cabins, teepees and even steamboats! They call them "feux de joie" (fires of joy).

Gray Line's merry motor coach will depart at 2 p.m. and return around 9:30 p.m. Keep in mind, you must walk approximately 3 blocks (¼ mile) to view the bonfires, so wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Learn more and make reservations now.
