St. Patrick’s Day in New Orleans!
Hey New Orleans, feeling all rested up after Mardi Gras? The city of New Orleans no sooner cleans up after a massively successful Mardi Gras before it's ready for the next party. This Saturday and Sunday (March 12th and 13th), St. Patrick's Day parades hit the streets. The Irish Channel Parade starts at 1 p.m. on the corner of Constance and Josephine Streets, and the St. Patrick's Day Parade begins at noon on Metairie Road.
Instead of Mardi Gras beads, the St. Patrick's Day parades have a different throw: vegetables! Potatoes, carrots, cabbages, and moonpies. Yes, we know moonpies aren't vegetables, but you have to have something sweet after all of that healthy food, right?
