Ladies, plan your trip now! Festigals 2013 is just around the corner, June 20-23. Festigals is a uniquely New Orleans party/getaway for women that features empowerment, entertainment, cocktails, tours and shopping, so call up your best friends, your daughter, your mother or your sister and let them know about this special event.
The extended weekend getaway includes a variety of exciting events from the Bodacious Bras for a Cause Luncheon and Auction to the Stiletto Stroll Parade down Bourbon Street and even a little bit of laughter yoga thrown in for good measure.
Yes, you read that right! Bodacious Bras! This auction features some of the most unique bras that you’ve ever seen and come with some very unique accessories like seats in the Superdome and all of the money raised goes to charity. You have to see these bras to believe it!
The star of the Stiletto Stroll is you and you’ll march down Bourbon Street and be joined by a second line brass band. You know how we like to party and parade in New Orleans!

Of course the main focus of the weekend is the to be entertained and empowered by a number of women speakers. This year’s featured speaker is Rhonda Shear, a New Orleans native, Hollywood actress and entrepreneur that created her own line of intimate wear.
As you can see, she wears a lot of different hats and in many ways, her career path is a model for women seeking to redefine themselves after turning 40. Like all of the women speakers for 2013, she has a depth of knowledge gained from practical experiences that she will share with the audience.
Other speakers include women like Amilya Antonetti, an entrepreneur, investor and successful businesswoman will share her recipe for success and balance. Whether you’re a busty multi-tasking mom or a CEO, or both, Antonetti has lots to share with you.
When you get hungry, Tory McPhail, a celebrity chef and the king of the Commander’s Palace kitchen will serve up a three course lunch for you to enjoy. Make sure you come hungry!
This is the third year for this annual event. In 2011, the event attracted 150 women. In 2012, 400 women from more than 15 states joined in on the fun. The event was voted “Best Girls Getaway” by AAA Southern Traveler and is endorsed by The New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation and the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau.
There are a number of different plans and pricing. You can register for the whole weekend, or pick and choose which events fit your schedule.
