Steamboat NatchezSanta is a busy man this time of year, but he made some time in his schedule to make an appearance this Sunday on the Steamboat Natchez, and you can join him on the afternoon cruise for free.

Bring a new, unwrapped gift for a child (ages infant to 17 years old), Santa will deliver those presents to the children at the Crescent House Shelter and the St. Bernard Battered Woman’s Program on Christmas Eve and the friendly crew of the Natchez will let you board for free this Sunday.

Sailing with Santa alone is enough to get me out the door, but Local Cajun entertainer Papillion will be on the boat entertaining children in the Magnolia Suite with his unique mix of Cajun, Zydeco and New Orleans themed music and stories. There will be a Holiday face painter to make sure everyone isn’t just feeling the spirit, they’ll be showing the spirit too. Plus, Macy’s Letters to Santa program will be on board and benefiting the Make A Wish Foundation.

Santa wants you and your family to join him on this cruise this Sunday, December 2nd. The fun starts at 1:30 pm with the Gift Drop, then the boat leaves at 2:30 pm. It’s a two hour cruise, returning to shore at 4:30.

Steamboat Natchez is located at Toulouse Street and the River in the French Quarter. You can call them at (800) 365-3628 for more information.
