The Bayou Classic

The gridiron grudge match returns on Saturday, November 27th with the 37th annual Bayou Classic sponsored by State Farm Insurance. Each year, the sold-out Superdome is host to over 62,000 fans in one of the great traditions in college football. The Grambling State University Tigers and the Southern University Jaguars come into this year's game historically tied, with both teams winning 18 of the past 36 contests. Expect to see both teams hungry to take the series lead.

The Bayou Classic game is only part of the weekend's festivities. Friday starts with the Coaches' Luncheon, an invitation only event, and the Super Job Fair at the Sheraton from noon to 5 p.m. On Friday night, fans will gather in the Superdome for the Battle of the Bands and Greek Show from 7 – 10 p.m. Fans can spend their entire Saturday with the Fan Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Louisiana Superdome Champions Square. Just be sure to be in your seat for 1:00 p.m. kickoff!
