The greater New Orleans area offers several entertainment options this weekend!
This weekend, New Orleans has to make some serious choices: culture, movies, music, or boats!
Blues guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd will be headlining the New Orleans Blues & BBQ Festival, which runs from Friday the 14th to Sunday the 16th in Lafayette Square Park. The New Orleans Film Society exhibits its great taste in film with amazing selections in this year’s Film Festival, and the New Orleans Opera will bring us a bit of high art with Giacomo Puccini’s Turnadot (one night only – October 15th). And, of course, we can't forget singer Chris Brown's big show at the New Orleans Arena.
Residents and visitors alike can journey out to Kenner for Oktoberfest culture, drinks, dancing and much more all weekend long. Or, boat enthusiasts can head up to the North Shore to see the Wooden Boat Festival on Saturday and Sunday in Madisonville.
The weather looks too beautiful this weekend to stay home, so get out there and enjoy some New Orleans culture with whichever event you choose!
